Gregory Emmett Sims (born June 28, 1946 in San Francisco, California) is a retired American professional baseball player. During his nineseason (19651973) playing career, he spent part of one season, 1966, as a member of the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball. An outfielder, he was a switchhitter who threw righthanded, stood 6 feet (1.8 m) tall and weighed 190 pounds (86 kg). Sims had originally signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates and was selected by Houston after his first professional season in the Rule 5 draft.
