The 2009 Topps Allen & Ginter set is upon us once again. The release date is scheduled July 1, although we all know now is subject to change. Topps A & G cards redesigned this year, giving them a fine edge for the first time, keeping the general appearance of the previous year maps.

The basic set consists of the usual 350 cards with 50 of them are short printed. 230 cards will be the veteran baseball players, 30 cards will be recruited, 25 cards will feature historical characters or places, 15 maps and highlight the great athletes from other sports of baseball. Each package contains six cards more mini parallel card, which he defined as having the same size as the original Allen & Ginter cards.
